Submission Terms and Authors Program
These terms apply whenever you send us a recipe, historical or family information, photos, ideas or other materials — through the website or app form, by email or any other way.
1. No expectation of publication or reply
- Submitting does not mean publishing. Every submission goes through moderation, which usually takes 30 to 90 days.
- We are not obliged to publish or use your submission, reply to messages, tell you about an editorial decision or explain it (except where the law requires it).
- We may already be working, or may later work, on similar recipes, stories or ideas. Submitting creates no obligation for us and no right to compensation for similar content we create independently.
- Submissions are not treated as confidential.
2. Your promises
- You or your family created the material, or you have the right to share it; if you used a book, archive or website, you named the source and did not copy protected text word for word.
- You took the photo yourself; it shows no other people without their consent and no children.
- The information is true to the best of your knowledge.
- The material does not break the law or the Community Guidelines.
3. License
You keep your copyright and grant the Company a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license, sublicensable to our contractors, for the full term of the rights: to use, reproduce, edit for clarity, safety and style, translate, adapt, combine with other content, publish and distribute the material on the website, in the apps, on social media and in advertising for the Service, credited to your nickname where technically possible. You agree that a published recipe may remain in the Service in anonymized form after you delete your profile unless you ask us to remove it separately.
4. No payment
Submissions are voluntary and unpaid. Points, badges, levels and mentions are non-monetary, have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. Any paid collaboration requires a separate written agreement.
5. Responsibility
You are responsible for what you submit and, to the extent the law allows, will compensate the Company for losses caused by a breach of your promises.
6. Removal
To remove published material, email legal@buryaki.com; we will remove it within 30 days.
